rain, work, rain

outlined one of these with a mike giant sharpie. i guess that makes me a fan.

hatefuck vol.4

it's been a while (the last issue come out last summer) but the newest installment of the art zine 'hatefuck' is finally finished. even more scraps and leftovers and recycled crap. smaller format this time around - 4.25"x5.5". but made up for the size with content; screened chip cover, fold out centerfold, some color pages for the first time, and it comes packaged with an HF button and photo insert.

80 pages. $5ppd in the US. for purchase contact ingivingup@yahoo.com

give up x hatefuck v. technology

it might seem backwards to say fuck technology while sitting at the internet pecking on a keyboard. but fuck technology. the other day matt showed me how to create and then stack layers in photoshop. the image above is the first thing i've ever done on my own. with the assistance of a few phone calls. after just over 3 hours of flaring tempers and frustration i can say with assurance that this was the most frivolous expense of time i've ever wasted on 'art' and will not become a regular occurrence. maybe i've already beaten it into the ground, but due to the obvious look and nature i feel i have to continually express the fact that i do not use computers for any of my work. unless you're jeff elrod computers don't have any place in art. computers are for graphic design. graphic design is not art. this is a shit entry. just striving for post proliferation to seem productive. maybe the picture looks cool anyway.

trapped under ice

"...can't say that i'm proud / of the life i've come to know / i feel the worst things in my soul / and if i never make it home tonight the streets have swallowed me whole.."

texas firehouse, nyc

went to new york to install some work at the texas firehouse gallery / art space in queens.

stayed at this oasis in brooklyn amidst a virtual sea of shit. thanks michael and dana.

new york hate.

made up for it a couple hundred times over..

with things i haven't done in some time..

and other things contradictory to previous posts.

didn't do anything on the street otherwise. hung the show. not many pictures. didn't stick around for the opening.

bought some records: nadja, tusk, earth, trapped under ice, merauder, sub zero, pleasure forever, black tusk, baroness, etc. visited cooper union. ate food. hung out with high chief.

flew home.

thanks robert and ken and all at the firehouse.

these three

the road to nowhere leads to me

is that how the song goes? lost my constitution and drive in brooklyn. about a week into 22 dates with fight pretty and she rides. spent my time behind wheels and merch tables across the country enough times over. paid my dues in vans and unloading trailers. obligation and guilt aren't feelings i choose to invest any time in. best of luck on the rest of the ride guys.
threw these posters together last minute before striking out. pretty fucked up really. didn't have time to arrange the photos myself, so the images are stills from richard kern's "hardcore: volume 1". should have never made them. don't appropriate other peoples' art for your own benefit or design. shows a real lack of integrity. printed i think 45. check the availability on remaining dates of the tour at myspace.com/fightpretty. i didn't keep any.

stickers and stencils. bathroom mirror scribes. no matter how many or in what city aren't worth documentation. drinking nyquil from fingertips. going snowblind raging until noon. topless barely legals passed out on dirty warehouse couches. all have been seen 100 times over on other blogs way hipper than this. returntothepit.com has live photos of the show in providence better than any i could be capable of.

the high chief practice space in brooklyn. not the she rides/daughters/chinese stars practice space in rhode island.

nick's cool german shepherd drawing.

lack of real productivity or realization on tour forced me out once i got back home.

ryan hooked it up.

back to new york in a week or so for my installation at the firehouse. the address is in the previous post. or texasfirehouse.org. the show is called 'repetition' and opens on the 28th. come by if you're in area. maybe some better pics next time around.
